A player from the opposing team comforts Camille. The day of this derby, Camille learned that her grandmother was critically ill. “I thought she is going to die. I remain pretty positive during the day but when someone brings it up then you remember what is going on in your life it makes you sad,” Camille reveals. “Even though you go out there on the track and try to kill each other, you still love each other and it doesn’t take away from the relationships and the bonds which you build with the women who you skate with or against,” Camille concludes.
